FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Exempts the Department of Insurance (Department) from rulemaking requirements for one year after the effective date of this bill.
2. Requires the Department to hold at least one public hearing to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the proposed rules.
3. Makes a technical change.

Page 11, between lines 12 and 13, insert:
"Sec. 6. Department of insurance; rulemaking; exemption
For the purposes of title 20, chapter 20, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, the department of insurance is exempt from the rulemaking requirements of title 41, chapter 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, for one year after the effective date of this act, except that the department shall hold at least one public hearing to provide the public the opportunity to comment on the proposed rules."
